Thank you for choosing Voola, developed by Ravorian LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Voola mobile application ("Voola" or "the App"). By using Voola, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
a. Personal Information
We may collect the following personal information directly from you when you use Voola:
Account Information: When you sign in using Apple or Google authentication, we may collect your name, email address, username, profile picture, and birthday.
Contact Information: Email address, if provided for customer support or feedback.
Subscription Information: Details about your subscription tier, Scan Pack purchases, and payment status for internal tracking and feature management.
b. Usage Information
When you interact with the App, we automatically collect certain information, including:
Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version.
Usage Data: Information on features accessed, including thumbs up/down interactions, screen views, scan history, and crash reports.
App Interactions: Actions taken within the App, such as usage of the identification feature, onboarding steps completed, content saved to your library, and button selections.
Preference Data: Information about your media identification history and interactions, which we use to understand your content preferences and improve recommendations.
Anonymous Sign-In Data: Firebase authenticates users anonymously to enable continued access and personalized settings without revealing identity. Anonymous accounts may be linked to Apple or Google accounts if you choose to sign in.
c. Media Data
For the purpose of identifying movies, television shows, and celebrities, we collect:
Uploaded Frames or Clips: Frames or clips from videos that you submit for media identification purposes. These are processed and analyzed using AI and machine learning services to provide accurate identification and are not stored beyond the identification session.
Audio Transcriptions: When audio is present in submitted clips, we may process it to improve media identification accuracy.
Metadata: Information related to uploaded files, such as frame count and scene information, is used for processing and analysis only.
d. Inferred Information
Based on your usage patterns and identification history, we may infer information about your media preferences, such as favorite genres, actors, or types of content. This inferred data is used to personalize your experience within the App.
e. Permissions
To enable users to submit video clips, the App may request access to:
Photo Library: To allow users to select videos from their library for media identification.
Camera: To enable users to capture video clips directly for submission.
These permissions are requested only for the specific purpose of submitting media for identification, and no additional data is accessed without user consent.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
App Functionality: To operate, maintain, and improve the Voola App.
Media Identification: To identify movies, television shows, and celebrities from submitted frames, clips, and audio, and provide accurate results.
Personalization: To analyze your identification history and preferences to recommend content and tailor your experience within the App.
Account Management: To create and manage your account, enable sign-in across devices, and maintain your preferences and saved content.
Customer Support: To respond to inquiries, feedback, and technical support requests.
Analytics and Improvements: To analyze usage patterns, identify and fix bugs, and improve the overall user experience through Firebase Analytics.
Advertising: To display relevant advertisements through third-party ad networks. Advertising partners may use device identifiers and usage data to deliver personalized ads.
Security and Compliance: To protect against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
We may share certain information with third-party services to provide core functionality, analytics, and crash reporting:
Cloud and AI Services: For media identification purposes, images and video data are processed through cloud-based AI and machine learning services.
Authentication Providers: We use Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In to authenticate users. When you sign in through these services, we may receive account information according to your settings with those providers.
Firebase: We use Firebase for anonymous authentication, data storage, and analytics to track user interactions and improve the App's functionality.
Crashlytics: Crashlytics helps us gather anonymous crash reports to improve App stability.
Advertising Networks: We work with Google AdMob and other advertising partners to display ads within the App. These partners may collect device identifiers and usage information to serve personalized advertisements.
The Movie Database (TMDB): We use TMDB to retrieve information about movies, television shows, and celebrities for display within the App.
These third parties have access to your data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
4. Data Retention
Media Data: Frames, clips, and audio submitted for identification are processed temporarily and are not stored beyond the identification process.
Account Information: Your account information, including name, email, profile picture, and birthday, is retained as long as you maintain an active account.
Usage and Preference Data: Information on app interactions, preference data, and crash reports may be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.
Purchase and Contact Information: Retained as long as you maintain an account or until no longer necessary for business or legal purposes.
Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time within the app. Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed, though some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, please note that no method of data transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
Voola is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. Account Deletion: You may delete your account and associated data within the app or by contacting us.

Permissions: You may choose not to grant certain permissions or revoke them at any time through your device settings, though this may limit your ability to use some features of Voola.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.
