Voola Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Voola, developed by Ravorian LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Voola mobile application ("App"), services, and features. By downloading, installing, or using Voola, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

By using Voola, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction to use digital services, and have the legal authority to accept these Terms. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Account and Permissions

Voola offers multiple sign-in options, including anonymous sign-in through Firebase Authentication, as well as Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In. When you create an account using Apple or Google authentication, we collect account information such as your name, email address, username, profile picture, and birthday, depending on your authentication provider settings. Anonymous accounts may be linked to an Apple or Google account at any time to enable additional features and sync your data across devices. By signing in, you agree that Ravorian may collect and process data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The App requires access to your Photo Library and Camera to enable video clip submission for media identification. You may enable or disable these permissions at any time through your device settings. Disabling required permissions may limit the App's functionality.

3. Subscription Services and Purchases

Voola offers subscription plans with weekly, monthly, and annual options, each with different pricing and benefits. Certain subscription types may include a free trial period for new subscribers. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. In addition to subscriptions, Voola offers Scan Packs, which are one-time purchases that provide a set number of additional scans. Scan Packs do not expire and are non-refundable once purchased. All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. You are responsible for managing your subscription, including renewals and cancellations, through your App Store account settings. Refunds for subscriptions are subject to Apple's App Store refund policies.

4. Content Submission

By submitting a video clip, you acknowledge that you may not own the rights to the film, television show, or other media content it contains. All intellectual property rights in such content remain with the original rights holders. You confirm that your submission is solely for the purpose of media identification and that your use of Voola does not infringe upon the rights of third parties. Voola processes submitted clips exclusively to provide identification results and does not claim any ownership of the content you submit. Submitted clips are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Accuracy of Results

While Voola uses advanced AI technology to identify movies, television shows, and celebrities, results may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. By using the App, you acknowledge that identification results are provided on an "as-is" basis and are not guaranteed to be accurate. Result quality may vary based on video quality, content type, duration, and other factors. We continuously work to improve accuracy but make no warranties regarding the reliability of identification results.

6. Personalization and Recommendations

Voola may analyze your identification history, interactions, and usage patterns to infer your media preferences and provide personalized recommendations. By using the App, you consent to this analysis and understand that inferred preferences are used to enhance your experience. You may have options within the App to adjust personalization settings.

7. User Feedback

You may provide feedback on identification results using the Thumbs Up/Down feature. A Thumbs Up indicates a correct identification, while a Thumbs Down initiates a retry for improved accuracy. Voola logs these interactions to improve service quality and AI model performance. By providing feedback, you grant Ravorian the right to use this data for service improvement purposes.

8. Data Use and Privacy

By using Voola, you agree to our collection, use, and processing of your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. Voola uses Firebase Analytics to track app interactions and usage patterns. Video clips may be processed using AI and machine learning services to provide media analysis and identification. Please review our Privacy Policy for complete details on how we handle your data.

9. Advertising

Voola may display advertisements through third-party ad networks including Google AdMob and partner networks. These advertising partners may collect and use data in accordance with their respective privacy policies to deliver personalized advertisements. You may have options to limit personalized advertising through your device settings. Premium subscription tiers may offer an ad-free experience.

10. Intellectual Property

Voola, including its name, logo, and associated branding, is the property of Ravorian LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Certain assets in the App are sourced from Apple's System Images, FreePik, and FlatIcon, and remain the property of their respective owners. Information about films, television shows, and celebrities is provided by The Movie Database (TMDB) and is subject to TMDB's terms of use. Ravorian does not claim ownership of TMDB content and does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or modify any assets, content, or information provided in the App without proper authorization.

11. Third-Party Services

Voola integrates various third-party services including Firebase, Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, cloud computing platforms, and advertising networks. Ravorian is not responsible for the performance, availability, or data handling practices of these third parties. Your use of features powered by third-party services may be subject to their respective terms and policies. We recommend reviewing the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers.

12. Account Termination and Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time within the Voola app.. Upon account deletion, your personal information will be removed from our systems, though some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes. Ravorian reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.

13. Prohibited Use

You may not use Voola for any unlawful purpose or to submit content that violates intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or contains inappropriate, offensive, or harmful material. You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract source code from the App. Any attempt to do so is a violation of these Terms and may violate applicable laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), and may result in civil liability and criminal penalties. You may not use automated means to access the App or circumvent any security measures. Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of your access to Voola and legal action.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Voola and Ravorian LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App, any inaccuracies in identification results, or any unauthorized access to your data. Your use of the App is at your own risk. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for subscription services in the twelve months preceding the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ravorian LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

16. Modifications to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of Voola at any time without prior notice. We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App, email, or other appropriate means. Your continued use of Voola after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania.
